Well, it's that time of the year when most people reflect on what they've done in the previous year and plan out the next year. I'm doing just that in this post. Please click the link for more...
This past year has brought about a lot of growth in my photography, both in the business and artistic aspects. I've started working with portrait photography, shooting with off camera flash, and even did a few professional shoots. And the most rewarding part of 2008 was winning first place in a local photo contest as well as getting four of my photos published in a statewide coffee table book.
For the year of 2009, I will continue working on finding my style. I've already created a look for myself based on a few of my favorite modern photographers, but I want to develop and perfect the techniques I use to create that look.
I'm also working toward obtaining a new set of lights and a new camera. I feel that I'm being limited by my current equipment and once I get a set of studio strobes, my creativity and the quality of my photos should increase.
Finally, 2009 will mark the opening of my photography business. I'll have more information on the grand opening at a later date, but right now, I'm planning to open the doors sometime after the beginning of March.
Look forward to some great things throughout the year.
